Today I discovered that sugar pears smell like Grandma Walker (or vice versa - uh, spell check suggested verse?). In fact, I found eating them took me back to how it felt to be around the extended Walker family as a child. Neat.
I don't know if I've ever eaten a sugar pear and known that it was called a sugar pear. Is it different than a say, d'anjou pear? I want to eat one now, not only because it sounds so good, but because I want to see if it will throw me back, too.
