Family Vacation
O.k., o.k., I'll try to limit the number of pictures, I'd hate to bore you all. I think I'll do a couple of posts on this, though.
We went to Lake Tahoe, CA. It was really beautiful, perfect temperatures, and lots to do.
First, we went on a nature hike. We found pinecones from the sugar pine trees that used to dominate the area. We also saw some interesting plants:
We think this is called a "snow plant"(I suppose because it has no green?), and there were some hollowed out trees the children fit in.
(skipping ahead) On our last day we visited Emerald Bay. A beautiful view, and a waterfall to the right of this picture. Somehow I never did get a picture of the falls. I think Stephen took one though.
We had lots of fun. More later.

Red, Late Friday
I had a hard time with both blue and red actually. Didn't think of leaving the house to look until now. Huh. This is a wall hanging I made of my own design. A first actually. It was meant for a valentine decoration, but it stays up all the time. What else would I put on that wall anyway?
Here I thought it would be fun to show what Ammo- drew this evening. He didn't trace at all. Pretty good I thought:
Blue Thursday (batteries died on my camera and I didn't have any backups)
For some reason this makes me think of that book about "pale green pants with nobody inside them". I'll try to get to the Friday color today we'll see.
We took a trip to the Tracey Aviary today. That was so nice. This is a great walk, lots of shade. Few pictures I'm afraid, this is where my batteries died. The kids really enjoyed the birds, we'll be going again! Plus, right next door there was a playground with a lot of different things for the children to enjoy, including a water area. We had a lot of fun.

Brown Tuesday
Here is Tanners contribution. He made breakfast today, and while I was playing with the camera he asked to take this picture:
***By the way, go see Ad's treasure boxes.

How many things can you find that are wrong in this picture?
Perhaps just one, but it can't be that obvious. Considering I first pieced this and ironed it, then put it in the row and ironed the seam right next to it, then put on the sashing and the border - and ironed them - and I never noticed it until it had been folded, this block up, for days. It is staying that way, by the way. Nothing like a mistake found after it is cemented in (at least there is no unpicking to do, heh).
