A Child-like Surge of Joy

The string goes taught, it takes off, higher and higher, and at that moment sheer enjoyment and even amazement that it worked. Glorious. It is so great to have children to remind us of simple pleasures... (o.k. so you don't see the grumbling as we untangle children and strings, and they fight over whose turn it is, but at that moment of success it is forgotten. So much fun!).

Wishing all the women out there a moment like this for every load of dishes, each load of laundry, every dirty diaper, all the sleep lost, every meal, all the whining, each opportunity for yourself lost (or given), and those without children that help us every now and then, and mother me...
Happy Mothers Day!
